O’Dark 30 Friday Podcast 2/1/13

Hey, here’s a great little podcast for you that should meet your listening needs quite nicely. We’ve got a handful of audio pieces for you from places near and far, spanning the wide world from Arkansas to this very cubicle.

First up, we head up Arkansas way to hear one of the Tales of the South. It’s the “Winners of Arkansas Literary Festival Contest” episode, which we’re bringing it to you because we love us some literature around here.

We also love classic audio archival pieces, which is why we’re bringing you a dive into the Allen Lomax archives put together by producer Willis Arnold.

And did we mention we love literature? Have we talked about how much we love Texas theater legends? Since we love both of those things so much, we’re bringing you a profile of Jaston Williams, famous around these parts as half the population of Tuna, Texas, among other things. He’s on stage at Zach Scott right now, starring as Truman Capote in the one-man play TRU, and he came by the station recently to chat with O’Dark’s own Mike Lee, which is me.

Enjoy!
