Tuesday Podcast 1/29/13
Today’s podcast is really going to run the audio gamut in a quick twenty minutes or so. In under half an hour, we’ll bring you a new look at classic cartoons, an exploration of romantic music, and a meditation on the ephemeral nature of sound.
“Heard, Once” will kick off the show today, and it’s a great episode of the reliably awesome Memory Palace podcast produced by Nate DiMeo. This piece doesn’t just chronicle an overlooked chapter of history; it also explores the nature of sound and its fleeting existence in our lives. And what better way to contemplate the transitory nature of sound than to download this podcast and listen to it over and over again, whenever and wherever you want?
Then it’s a quick trip across the pond to France, the homeland of the romantic music so beloved by Belgian physicist and super-nice guy Charles Spira. On this edition of his Love the French Way, Charles will tell you all about the song “Good Morning.”
And then it’s something completely different! Our first piece from new discovery Christina Marras, I Love You Wile E. Coyote. Weird goodness from Ms. Marras.
