The Lennings @ KUT 12/6/12

December 7, 2012 10:29 am by: Paul Carrubba

Austin five-piece The Lennings combine wry pop with delicate wafts of folk warmth and tenderness. The band is Jason Silverberg, guitarist Cory Morgan, drummer Karl Lundin, bassist Ross Carnes and Zach Herigodt on banjo and mandolin. They released their first full-length Big Beige Car in 2007, and followed it up with the Geographic Tongue EP in 2009. Their quiet, acoustic rendition of the Grease soundtrack classic “You’re The One That I Want” was featured on the NBC show “Parenthood.” Now, at long last, The Lennings are set to release a brand new LP. Called Inside, it features Lennings live favorites and a whole lot more. The record’s second track “B-12″ is getting its own TV debut this Saturday on MTV’s “Underemployed.” Friday night the band’ll be celebrating the release of Inside at Stubb’s. To get you in the mood, The Lennings also dropped by KUT for a session, and you can give it a listen right here.
