Live performances are where it’s at for high-energy local eight-piece blasters The Bus Stop Stallions. As you can imagine, it’s a big band making one big show.

Their recent full-length release Crosswinds will give you an idea of what they like to unleash onstage, mixing up a lot of rock and funk with jazz and soul. Have horn section, will travel. Very reminiscent of the funk/soul outfits from the ‘70s and ‘80s, a la Earth, Wind & Fire. Just toss in a little Stevie Wonder for good measure.

This is one to not miss. Check out The Bus Stop Stallions at their show tonight at Frank, 407 Colorado. Sharing the bill are Fatback Circus and The T Jarrod Quartet. Funkified good times for one and all. Doors open at 9:30 p.m. Climb on board. Recommended.
