There’s a book on out right now, written by a local author, that reads like an action movie looks, but this one comes with a heavy dose of internal dialogue. KUT’s Emily Donahue talked with Stephen Romano, author of Resurrection Express, about how the novel grew beyond the cinematic aesthetic.

I actually got out of screenwriting and got into writing pure fiction because it’s a place where you don’t have to compromise as much, and it’s a place where you can really explore your own artistic sensibilities, and you can do things like Resurrection Express. This is a big novel, full of just insane amounts of stuff.
