KUT News happens because of you

December 23, 2012 5:00 am by: Holly Gaete

Throughout the KUT Public Media Studios, there is a continuous hum of activity. Nowhere is that more evident than in the newsroom. KUT reporters arrive at the station well before 5 a.m. and are here past 7 p.m. They cover national stories with a local lens and they help make sense of the issues impacting our region. Each morning they gather together to determine what stories need to be shared the most.

On KUT, there are stories aired with national and worldwide implications. But, also stories that impact your life on a daily basis. When the laws governing the Austin City Council changed, KUT was able to explain how. When the way Austin City Council members are elected changed, KUT told you how. And when controversial drilling practices become more mainstream, KUT tells you the impact of those methods.

KUT is a primary source for news, information and context. Your support enables the KUT reporters to do their jobs. From the microphones to the audio recorders, your charitable donation to KUT makes it all possible.

Thank you.
