Friday Podcast 12/21

So it turns out the world didn’t end this morning, even though lots of dimwits on the iterwebs told us it would. That’s good news overall, I guess, but it also means that now we’ve got to slap together a podcast at the last minute. Luckily, we’ve got some cool audio biz lying around.
This one is gonna follow a familiar format if you’ve been paying much attention to our podcasts in recent weeks (although really, why would you?). We’ll kick things off with a new installment of Master Class and then follow that up with a homegrown hour from one of KUT neighbors.
It seems like we’re always mentioning some supercool factoid about our buddy John Pierson when we air one of his show, like his feud with Robert Redford or the fact that he’s caught a piranha in the Amazon. So how about this one? A few weeks ago, John sent us an email to say he couldn’t record voice tracks that week because he was flying off to the Canary Islands to hang out on the set of the new Vin Diesel movie. Dang, that’s a cool excuse for not recording voice tracks. And that movie just happens also to be the next movie by today’s Master Class guest, director Justin Lin.
And then we’ll travel all the way to the Cactus Café for another edition of Views and Brews Remix, from O’Dark alum Rebecca McInroy. Today she’s got an all-star panel together to discuss the life and music of Edith Piaf. Enjoy!
