The district will vote on its recently announced policy of extending health benefits to domestic partners including same-sex couples.
The plan faced opposition after it was announced, and at least one board member has said he’ll vote against the plan this time.
A group called Texas Values says in a statement that it will bring hundreds of opponent to the tonight’s meeting. The group also says it has filed a brief with the attorney general’s office.
Meanwhile, the Pflugerville Educators Association has posted an online petition, with almost 1,000 signers, supporting domestic partnership benefits.
