The Blue Hit Covers Townes Van Zandt

The Blue Hit got together through a series of events involving San Marcos, the Kerrville Folk Festival and an old house on the eastside of town. The trio has put out two full length albums featuring their lovely, haunting blend of guitar, cello and vocals. Their most recent, self-titled, release is a collection of live recordings taken by friends and fans while touring the country.

They recently stopped by Studio 1a and treated us to a cover of Townes Van Zandt’s “Rake.”
