I found out about this show through friends, believe it or not. Facebook can sometimes be intriguing that way, at times. And one question immediately came to mind: How the heck could one possibly resist a show like this? What a lovely way to start the holiday out right.

This evening, the Mohawk will host three fantastic performances on their indoor stage, and I’m encouraging you to check out each of them:

- One-man folk/roots powerhouse Shakey Graves. Friends, sometimes all it takes is a guitar, banjo, and that makeshift kick drum, when you have talent like that to make it all work like magic.

- Hands-down, one of my favorite local artists, phenomenal folk/pop-rock songwriter Jack Wilson. Another must-see live.

- A new one to add to the list, Los Angeles-based acoustic folk-pop master John Elliot.

That’s on the indoor stage tonight at the Mohawk, 912 Red River. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. Do check this one out. Highly recommended.
