The Highland Lakes that supply water to most of Central Texas are still only 43 percent full.
So today the Lower Colorado River Authority voted on a new emergency water plan outlining whether and when it will release more water downstream to rice farmers in the coming year. For StateImpact Texas, KUT’s Mose Buchele has the details.
