There’s a lot more drilling for gas and oil in Texas these days. A recent court case is raising questions about the disposal of waste from drilling sites. For StateImpact Texas, KUHF’s Dave Fehling reports that only a few inches of waste was supposed to be spread on a field near Beaumont. But that’s not at all what actually happened, according to some.
The violations began almost immediately after the permit was issued. There were hundreds and hundreds of violations over the years.
