November 2, 2012 5:06 pm by: Matt Largey

The decision to strip Lance Armstrong of his seven Tour de France titles and ban him from competitive sports for life will stand.

The World Anti-Doping Agency today said the sanctions were justified. The agency had 21 days to appeal the sanctions.

Last week, the International Cycling Union also accepted the punishment from U.S. anti-doping officials, removing Armstrong’s Tour titles and asking him to return millions of dollars in prize money.
