Just in time for the start of the holiday season, the folks at Capital T Theatre are presenting The Pain and the Itch, an ensemble dark comedy about a particularly unpleasant family Thanksgiving.

The play, by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Bruce Norris, features a cast of notable local actors including (among others) Lana Dieterich, Ken Bradley, Ben Wolfe and Liz Fisher. The story centers around Clay and Kelly, the protective parents of two young children; their holiday dinner plans start to spin out of control when Clay’s socialist mother and right-wing brother come to visit. Add in the brother’s much younger Eastern European girlfriend, a mysterious stranger, and the possibility of avocado-eating rodents and things really start to happen.

The Pain and the Itch

Thursday – Saturday at 8:00 pm

Through November 24 (no show on Thanksgiving)
