The results of this year’s state elections will, in part, determine the priorities for the next Texas legislative session. The Legislature did not fund a state water plan in the last session; the 2012 plan is a 299-page document full of water storage and supply projects.

It’s necessary but not sufficient to really address the critical water issues we had before last year’s drought, and to really address the critical water issues that we’ll have after the plan gets funded.
