Today the City of Austin announced that six more important figures in Austin music will have their names added to the Austin Music Memorial.

The inductees announced today include legendary country singer Don Walser, Huston Tillotson music educator Nathaniel Williams Sr., legendary guitarist Stephen Bruton, R&B pioneer Connie “Pee Wee” Crayton, Mariachi violinist Manuel Limon Sr., and Robin Shivers, the founder of the Health Alliance for Austin musicians.

Their names will now appear alongside those of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Doug Sahm, and other Austin music icons memorialized in perpetuity along the perimeter of the Long Center’s city terrace.

A public induction ceremony is scheduled for Nov. 30.
