Singer-songwriter Ryan Bingham might be best known for his song “The Weary Kind,” the tune he co-wrote and performed for the 2009 movie Crazy Heart. The song brought him an Oscar for Best Original Song and made the national spotlight on him burn even hotter than before. Bingham’s country music has been compared to some older greats, and his music has been said to sound like it comes from another, earlier time of country music. Ryan Bingham will be in Austin on both Thursday and Friday, playing at Stubb’s both nights. He stopped by Studio 1a to play live on KUT and you can listen to the session RIGHT HERE!
