Longhorns Look to Rebound from Losses

October 19, 2012 4:29 pm by: Ben Philpott

The University of Texas football team will try to end a two-game losing streak Saturday night against Baylor. The Longhorn defense has given up a record number of points over the last three games. And the offense was unproductive during last weekend’s loss to Oklahoma.

“We’ve got to continue to try and fix what’s wrong,” Longhorn Head Coach Mack Brown said. “And we’ve got a lot of things that are wrong and Oklahoma exposed those things.  Baylor’s one of the best offenses in the country. Like us they’ve struggled some on defense. We’d beaten them 12 times in a row – they’ve beaten us the last two. So like Oklahoma State we need to get that one back into the right column.”

Baylor, like Texas, has lost its last two games. And both have given up 63 points in losses this year. Texas kicks off Saturday night at 7.
