KUT takes you on a global tour

October 21, 2012 6:00 pm by: Angela Maldonado

Every Friday afternoon, Horizontes explores the horizons of Latin music. Whether it’s diving into the archives of Tito Puente or introducing listeners to new artists like Esperanza Spalding, host Michael Crocket uses his deep knowledge of the genre to weave together the sounds of Latin America and transport you to another culture.

Then on Saturday, Crockett hosts Global Grooves and takes you on two-hour journey through international grooves usually beginning in South America and the Caribbean before crossing over to Africa, moving up through Europe and across the Mideast.

The deep expertise and diversity you hear on Horizontes is hard to come by on the radio dial these days, but — with your support — KUT is committed to celebrating music from different cultures.
