KUT celebrates music from different cultures

October 19, 2012 1:00 pm by: Angela Maldonado

Every Friday afternoon, Horizontes explores the horizons of Latin music. Whether it’s diving into the archives of Tito Puente or introducing listeners to new artists like Esperanza Spalding, Horizontes host Michael Crocket uses his deep knowledge of the genre to weave together the sounds of Latin America and transport you to another culture.

The deep expertise and diversity you hear on Horizontes is hard to come by on the radio dial these days, but — with your support — KUT is committed to celebrating music from different cultures.

By supporting Horizontes today, you’ll be entered into a drawing to receive a pair of tickets to see Gilberto Gil on Oct. 30 and Chuco Valdez on Nov. 15 at the Bass Concert Hall. Pledge your support today!
