On this edition of In Black America, producer/host John L. Hanson Jr. speaks with Dr. Timothy M. George, Medical Director of the Pediatric Neurosurgery Center of Central Texas at Dell Children’s and adjunct professor of Cellular Microbiology at the University of Texas at Austin.
As Chief of Pediatric Neurosciences and Neurosurgery, he oversees the clinical and translational research programs at Dell Children’s Medical Center. Dr. George has more than 26 years of medical experience and practice in Neurological Surgery.
In 2006, Dr. George moved to Austin, Texas from Durham, North Carolina where he was the Associate Professor of Neurosurgery, Pediatrics and Neurobiology at Duke University Medical School.
Dr. George completed his medical training in 1986 at New York University School of Medicine; his residency in Neurosurgery at Yale University School of Medicine; and his Pediatric Fellowship at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
