Gore Vidal’s Political Classic

The late Gore Vidal once said that his politically-themed play The Best Man was staged somewhere in America every four years, and he was probably right about that. And there’s good reason for that; despite being written some 52 years ago, the play remains a timely and relevant look at American politics.

Austin’s Paradox Players are presenting this new staging of the classic work, which takes the audience behind the scenes of an unnamed political party as two candidates struggle to win the presidential nomination.
