Well, here it is, Friday. Almost the weekend, which is (if Loverboy is to be believed) what everybody’s working for. I’m not one to question the wisdom of The Boys Who Love, so I’m going to trust their judgement on this one and assume that you and everyone like you is, in fact, working for the weekend. And also, by extension,  that you want a little romance and are goin’ off the deep end.

And is there a better way to kick off said weekend than with a brand new O’Dark podcast? Almost certainly not, so you better start downloading this bad boy right now.

We’ll start off the podcast and your weekend with “Edward Stephenson, Tobacco Auctioneer,” which is a new episode of How Sound, the behind-the-scenes radio show. This installment of the show will give you a few helpful tips for producing your own public radio pieces, if that’s the sort of thing you think it would be fun to do.

And then it’s a new installment of KUT’s own Storytime at the Cactus, from producer Angela Maldonado. Every now and again, Angela gathers up a few interesting folks to come together at the Cactus Café and tell stories while people drink beer and listen. Good times are generally had by all. This time out, you’ll hear from Mary Gordon Spence and Paul Normandin. Enjoy the podcast as part of a balanced weekend.
