November’s Formula One race is coming up fast. KUT’s Wells Dunbar talks with the Austin American-Statesman’s Ben Wear about what to expect, traffic-wise. Wear says F1 is less of a race and more of a traveling party – although Austinites stuck in traffic may not be ready to celebrate.

People who are familiar with how F1 events work around the world, they’re unique in that a lot of people go from race to race and you can expect to have a lot of international visitors and they come several days early. And they do a lot of partying. It isn’t going to be just a matter of people showing up, staying in a hotel and going to the race, they’re going to be doing a lot of things around town.
