Agnes and Alfred, from Physical Plant Theater, is a new play that was two years in the making. Writer Steve Moore, director Carlos Trevino, and actors Thomas Graves and Hannah Kenah collaborated over that time to bring the story and its characters to life, resulting in a play that’s surprisingly straightforward by Physical Plant standards.

The play follows the two titular characters over seventeen years, in just five scenes; the drama of the show is driven by the characters themselves rather than by plot twists. To heighten the intimacy of the performance, only thirty audience members are allowed into each show; every seat is in essence a front-row ticket.
