The Lower Colorado River Authority, the agency that controls the water in the Highland Lakes, is coming under fire from some Central Texans. For StateImpact Texas, KUT’s Mose Buchele reports that a recommendation by LCRA staff could lead to water being sent downstream next year for rice farming.
This is a gamble with the drinking water of a million and a half Central Texans.
