ACL Festival

ACL 2012: Saturday

October 13, 2012 4:53 pm by: Angela Maldonado

The second day of the ACL brought overcast skies and some showers but festival goers weren’t fazed by the weather.

This weekend, over a 100 different acts will perform at Austin Cit Limits. Not only that, festival goers will have a choice of approximately 40 different vendors serving all types of food and drink as well as tons of events and parties going on all over downtown Austin. You can expect delays around Zilker Park as about 70,000 people a day make their way to and from the ACL Festival.

The city is closing or reducing lanes around the park including Barton Springs Road from around MoPac to Robert E. Lee Road. The Texas Department of Public Safety says all available troopers will out on the roads this weekend.

Roads will also be closed around Republic Square Park at 5th  Street and Guadalupe Street to make room for Capital Metro’s free ACL Shuttle.

Whether you’re at the festival or just not, KUT will be out at Zilker park all weekend capturing the ACL experience for you.

We have some talented producers running around taking pictures all weekend, so check back here for some visual updates on all of the festival goings-on.

Stay with KUT this weekend for exclusive videos and interviews from the festival. Check out our full ACL coverage, here.
