There she goes again, singing the praises of the almighty triple bill. And it tends to be extra special for me if it’s all local bands. I’m happy to report I’ve got just such a treat for you, coming up this evening.
Hurray! Triple bill goodness, featuring:
Kay Leotard – A tantalizing, mesmerizing sway of garage rock luring you into a state of psychedelic bliss. Check out the bewitching Witchuals EP.
The Happen-Ins – Bluesy, funky rock ‘n’ soul good times with this quartet. Shake it like you mean it, baby. The track you hear on today’s Austin Music Minute was brought to me exclusively by band member Sean Faires, from a soon to be released album.
The Sweet Nuthin – Rock done right. Chord blasts, riffs galore, and they’re keepin’ it loud. Their self-title debut EP was recorded live. Very sweet deal, indeed.
All three bands play tonight at 29th Street Ballroom at Spider House, 2906 Fruth St. Doors open at 9 p.m. This one’s a must-see.
