The Infamous Stringdusters @ KUT 9/6/12

September 5, 2012 2:58 pm by: Reid O'Conor

Bluegrass band The Infamous Stringdusters came to the forefront of the genre in 2007 with the release of their first album Fork in the Road. Since then, they’ve been continued to be lauded with praise and awards from both within the bluegrass genre and from outside. The band plays an innovative style of bluegrass that’s heavy on improvisation, jamming and skill. Their live shows leave them “flirting constantly with risk and reward,” and for the most part, they are rewarded. Their latest album, Silver Sky, was released in March and their tour in support of the album brings them to Austin tomorrow night. The Infamous Stringdusters will play at Bass Concert Hall Sept. 7th, but you can hear them HERE live in Studio 1a.
