The Heavy @ KUT 9/13/12

September 12, 2012 1:07 pm by: Reid O'Conor

British indie rockers The Heavy claim to be from a town called Noid, England, supposedly located near Bath. The thing is, no such town exists. It’s some kind of mysterious joke or reference, and it’s totally inline with who they are as a band. Their music is loud and fast neo-soul/funk-flavored indie rock; their 2009 single “How You Like Me Now?” was featured across many TV shows, movie trailers, and commercials, it was almost impossible to miss. Their latest album, The Glorious Dead, was released just last month, and the tour supporting that album brings them to Austin tomorrow night with a show at Red 7. While they’re in town, The Heavy played a live set in Studio 1a. ENJOY!
