The Big Broadcast: Goin’ on a Texas Music Roadtrip

September 28, 2012 11:48 am by: David Brown

Doug Sahm’s lap steel guitar. Sunny Ozuna’s purple lame bodysuit. Stevie Ray Vaughan’s ‘Old Number One” Stratocaster. Handwritten lyrics by Townes Van Zandt. This week, we’re exploring just a few of the hundreds of landmarks of Lone Star music at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum. Join us for a ‘Texas Music Roadtrip’–as we broadcast from the Bullock Museum and hear some great music by artists featured in the largest exhibition ever on the history and impact of Texas Music. (Don’t forget: The Texas Music Roadtrip is only on exhibit until October 14!)
