Working in the Austin music for the past 20 years, Guy Forsyth has become known for his impressive live shows. And for his past few albums, Foryth’s main focus when recording was capturing that live energy. With his most recent album, he decided to throw that notion out and focus purely on the craft of songwriting. The result, The Freedom to Fail, contains appearances by some of Forsyth’s fellow Asylum Street Spankers alums and Austin icon Jon Dee Graham. Guy Forsyth will play a release show for the new album on Saturday night at the Stateside at the Paramount. You can hear him play live in Studio 1a RIGHT HERE!
