When people complain about cedar trees in Central Texas they’re usually thinking one thing: “Achoo!” But as KUT’s Mose Buchele reports for StateImpact Texas, at a hearing today at the Capitol lawmakers were talking about cedars for other, very elemental reasons.
“That water that might have been available for soil moisture, which also impacts the ability of runoff and groundwater infiltration, is also deteriorated.”
