September 20, 2012 4:04 pm by: Peter Babb

The Spirit of Austin’s Outlaw Country could be making a comeback. This time around, its the hipsters and the cowboys mixing things up. On the next Texas Music Matters we travel to the Eastside where a new Independent Country music scene is alive and kickin’. We’ll have music from bands like Mike and the Moonpies, Guns of Navarone, and Sons of Fathers. Also, a live performance by Crooks, plus the weeks music news, the Americana Music Awards, and much more. That’s Texas Music Matters, today at noon and tonight at 11 on KUT 90.5.
