It is Time to sign up to volunteer for the school year! Please become a Classroom Coach!
Would you like to help Austin students in underserved communities? Join Austin
Partners in Education(APIE) as a volunteer Classroom Coach, and help students build a strong foundation for future success! APIE creates partnerships between the Austin community and Austin ISD schools, while helping prepare students for college and career.APIE’s volunteer-driven Classroom Coaching program is part tutoring and part mentoring. The program supports academic excellence and personal success for students at key intervals. Volunteers work with students in elementary reading in English or Spanish, or middle school reading or math. Our program success is due to our highly committed volunteers!Classroom Coaches work with 2-3 students for 45 minutes during the school day. Coaching takes place once per week for about 23 weeks throughout the school year,
with the same students. This commitment enables Coaches to potentially make a real impact on their students’ academic performance and lives. Coaches choose the time, day and school location most convenient to them. APIE provides support via training and in class coordination throughout the year.
