Artisan String Quartet @ KUT 9/24/12

September 23, 2012 10:26 am by: Reid O'Conor

The Artisan String Quartet has been playing around Austin under different names and with a different roster for more than 20 years now. Its present configuration was forged in 2009, and has performed all around central Texas. They’ve recorded the score for a documentary on Barbara Conrad Smith, the legendary Metropolitan Opera singer, and made their Carnegie Hall debut. The quartet has several projects planned for the future, including a “Genius at Play” concert series featuring Beethoven’s complete string quartets and a series with the Austin Symphony Orchestra. The Artisan String Quartet can be heard live on KUT RIGHT HERE. ENJOY!
