UT Board to Vote on KUT Expansion
The Board of Regents is a governing body for the UT System. Graphic by Todd Wiseman/Texas TribuneA committee of the University of Texas System Board of Regents has tentatively approved plans for KUT to expand into two stations – one for music and one for news. KUT would purchase KXBT FM for $6 million. Four million of that would come from the university in the form of a 10-year loan.
The full Board of Regents is scheduled to vote on the plan tomorrow.
