Sons of Fathers have drawn comparisons to lots of folk musicians like The Byrds and The Avett Brothers but I like to think that they picked up some Austin influences, like harmonies from Champ Hood and Walter Hyatt with a bit of country grit a la Jerry Jeff Walker or Robert Earl Keen. I dont really know what all those comparisons mean but the point is that Sons of Fathers have a great sound. You can hear for yourself RIGHT HERE when they performed live in Studio 1a for John Aielli.
