Shinyribs is Kevin Russel of The Gourds in disguise. He just isn’t that well disguised. But the music is still great! Kevin says he just had so many songs he wanted to perform he felt he had to put together a new group to do it. The rootsy swamp rock vibe of The Gourds hasn’t gone anywhere, it just feels a bit more subdued coming from the Shinyribs. Which is just great for a Friday morning.
