Longhorns Football Starts Saturday against Wyoming
Mack Brown said he hopes this year's team has swagger. Photo by KUT News.On Saturday night, the Longhorns open their football season Wyoming, and fans will be watching eagerly.
It will be the first test of the season for starting quarterback David Ash, as well as a new look at Defensive Coordinator Manny Diaz’s squad.
Head coach Mack Brown says he what he wants to see more than anything from his players is some swagger.
“I want a confident team,” Brown said Friday. “I want an offense that’s aggressive and looks like they’re coming out to score every time they walk on the field, instead of one that’s kind of feeling their way. I want a defense that forces some turnovers and pressures quarterbacks, and that’s what we’re looking for.”
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Saturday.
