August Volunteer Story-of-the-Month!

Have a story about Austin or KUT (especially volunteering at KUT) that you’d like to share? Please email Kim at volunteer@kut.org if so – and you could see yours here next month!

Here’s a story from longtime volunteer (and 2005 KUT Volunteer of the Year!) Frank Garza:

“My favorite volunteer memory was taking a pledge from an elderly lady in a Central Texas town. She told me about her nephew or grandson who came for a visit. After he left, she noticed that he had changed her radio station tuner away from KUT. So she immediately changed it back to 90.5 and taped the tuning knob down so it could not be moved.”

Now that’s devotion!
