The world premiere of This Feather House will be staged next month at Casa De Luz. The play is notable for winning the inaugural Wasserstein Prize (named for the late Wendy Wasserstein) for Austin playwright Linda Ramsey, who plays Jackie in this debut production of the work.
Dystheatre artistic director Michael Ferstenfeld read the script several years ago and has been wanting to produce it ever since. Once he and Linda found actress Leng Wong, they were ready to put the play on stage. It’s a co-production of Dystheatre and LuckyChaos Theater, the Asian-American theater group founded by Wong herself.
Ferstenfeld directs the play along with co-director Lindsay McKenna; featured actors include Wong, Ramsey, Cassidy Risien, Steven Alford, Jeff Britt, and Kacy Todd.
