Spreading the good word – make that, the good sound – that is Austin music! Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time for the next edition of The Good Music Club!
The GMC is a live music event and an online video series featuring Austin-based musical artists making their mark on the local scene. Our focus is to share these great performances with new fans and resources outside of the Austin area, throughout the country and worldwide.
This week, we have an absolute gem: Mr. Lewis & The Funeral Five, a band that holds a true appreciation for the darker side of life. Their album Delirium Tremendous has no shortage of morbid tales encased within dramatic, moody arrangements and evocative lyrics that get under your skin. This is one phenomenal set of performances. Check them out!
Mark your calendars for the next taping of The GMC, scheduled for July 28th at The ND, located at E. 5th St. and Brushy, near Progress Coffee. Admission is free! Doors open at 7 p.m. and the taping begins at 8 p.m. We’ll confirm the list of bands performing very soon. See you there!
