Night Waves Summer Monthly Music Series at Laced With Romance, with The Zoltars and Pharaohs

This has got to be one of the coolest shows ever. And there’s something about having it at a not-so-traditional venue, on top of that. Don’t miss out on the Night Waves Summer Monthly Music Series.
The series is curated by the Reverberation Appreciation Society, proprietors of the annual Austin Psych Fest, and presented by vintage clothing connoisseurs Laced With Romance. The three-part series, held on the last Thursday of each month, has a vibe similar to the Fest – showcasing psychedelic rock through music, fashion and visual art – but on a more intimate scale.
This is the second installment of the series, hosted by local music ‘zine Rubberneck (cheers to Renate Winter and Jon Chamberlain who run the publication) and featuring performances by local peeps Pharaohs and The Zoltars. A fun night and an early show. Night Waves starts at 7 p.m. tonight at Laced With Romance, at 1601 S. 1st St. DJ Jon will be at the turntables to provide spins between sets. And heads-up: Local band Sweat Lodge is celebrating their EP release at the Night Waves afterparty later in the evening at 29th Street Ballroom at Spider House.
