Austin actually has some good luck this weekend, starting tonight with Forklift Danceworks’ “Solo Symphony.” It’s a dance by Austin Symphony Conductor Peter Bay; not choreographed by him, but performed by him, as if conducting an invisible orchestra.

On Saturday, you can celebrate Bastille Day with some French cooking at the Alliance Française d’Austin Bastille Day Party.

Also opening tonight and continuing through July 27 is Sky Candy Aerial Arts’ performance of “The Flame,” an Olympic torch-inspired acrobatic show.
