Have we got a humdinger of a podcast for you guys today. Clocking in at a whopping hour and thirty-nine minutes, this thing is over half an episode worth of O’Dark, and all at the low, low cost of zero dollars.
We’ll start off with KUT’s recent Views and Brews program which concentrated on the life and work of jazz great Art Blakey. There’s an interesting discussion led by rabbi and jazz historian Neil Blumofe, and plenty of music from Brannen Temple on drums, Ephraim Owens on trumpet, Sam Lipman on saxophone, Freddie Mendoza on trombone, Dr. James Polk on piano and Roscoe Beck on bass. And the whole thing is hosted by O’Dark alum Rebecca McInroy.
And we’re not stopping there! We’ve also got a feature picked in honor of the late, great Ray Bradbury. It’s Fahrenheit 451: A Big Read Documentary. Fantastic radio about a great author.
