Happy Friday the 13th, everyone! We’re gonna keep it non-scary today, mainly because we put this podcast together before it occurred to us that it’d go up on Friday the 13th.
So no real frights for you today on the ‘cast, but we do have a couple of new installments of a couple of our favorite shows. Rob Rosenthal’s How Sound is always an interesting inside look at the public radio sausage-making process, and today’s episode, “Show, Don’t Tell,” is a great lesson on how to make a piece more compelling.
And we’ve also got a new episode of The Mikie Show, the Mikiest show on the airwaves. Today, Mikie’s learning a thing or two from linguistic anthropologist Erin Debenport. Erin’s trying to save the endangered language of Tiwa, which is spoken in the San Antonio pueblo of New Mexico. Pretty fascinating stuff.
