Exclusive Video Premiere: Robyn Ludwick’s “Hollywood”

Robyn Ludwick says she’s used to getting “the scraps” –and has learned to be one heckuva scrapper. Growing up the youngest of the famous Robisons of Bandera, she had to come to terms with the fact that her career might be shadowed by her siblings’ wealth of musical talent. Robyn Ludwick held on and kept writing and performing–making music on her own terms.
Her latest record Out of These Blues was produced by Gurf Morlix and features a dizzying cast of luminaries including Ian “Mac” MacLagan, John Ludwick, Eddie Cantu, Gene Elders, Trish Murphy and Slaid Cleaves.
Ludwick has a knack for storytelling just like her brother Bruce, which she showcases on the song “Hollywood.”
“We picked Hollywood for a number of reasons: because we felt that it would appeal to a broader audience (Texas and beyond); because the story was so compelling, and because it represents my style of music so well.”
Admittedly frightened by the prospect of making this video, Ludwick opened herself and her music up to the world of casting calls and storyboards. The result is a dark and moving tale of a young Hollywood hopeful.
We’re so excited to share the debut of Robyn Ludwick’s music video for “Hollywood.” Check it out below!

Robyn is the real deal, Robison or not! Great song, great video!
