City Centers Closed, Pools Open for Holiday

City offices will be closed Wednesday for the Fourth of July holiday. All recreation and senior centers, city clinics, libraries, cultural centers and city museums will also be closed. But garbage collection will proceed as normal. And all city swimming pools, golf courses and tennis centers will be open as usual.

There will be no Metrorail service all day Wednesday. The bus system will operate on a Saturday schedule. More information can be found on the city’s website.

Austin’s big bash will be a concert and fireworks show downtown Wednesday night.
