Turnout for the May primary election was low. Turnout for the runoffs is expected to be even lower. Travis County Clerk Dana DeBeauvoir says voters will have to double-check their precinct locations because there are about 40 fewer than there were in May.
“We have tried our best to keep everything the same as it was for the first election, but unfortunately this is the time when the schools take care of their repairs,” DeBeauvoir said. “So we had to vacate some of those school locations.”
Early voting for the primary runoff starts July 23.
